The annual Education Office of the Embassy of Spain - School of the Year Award is a prestigious educational recognition granted by the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain in the United States and sponsored by the University of Salamanca, Instituto Cervantes, Vista-Grupo Santillana, Edelsa-Anaya ELE, Difusión, El Camino del Español, Tía Tula, Estudio Sampere, Dice, Colegio Ibérico, CIAM, Fundación de la Lengua Española and Genial.ly. This award is accorded to schools in the United States that demonstrate excellence in content-based instruction using both Spanish and English.

The award is opened to elementary, middle, and high schools that are public, private or charter and who wish to participate.
