Future Classrooms Today: Methodological Innovation in Spanish Language Teaching in Thailand

“Future Classrooms Today: Methodological Innovation in Spanish Language Teaching in Thailand” will bring together teachers of Spanish and education professionals interested in methodological development, active learning approaches and practical resources for the Spanish language classroom.

The event will take place on Monday, 21 September 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Bangkok Prep International School, with the participation of the Education Office for Southeast Asia, Edinumen, the University of Salamanca and Bangkok Prep.

The programme includes a presentation on Spain’s educational activities in Thailand, a keynote session by Dr Álvaro Sesmilo on active methodologies, a practical session on educational resources for the Spanish classroom, and a round-table discussion on the current situation, achievements and challenges of Spanish language teaching in Thailand.

All attendees will receive a certificate of participation. A scholarship for a professional development course at the University of Salamanca and a selection of teaching materials will also be raffled among participants.
