The Spanish Resource Center (CER) at the University of Connecticut Nueva ventana (Storrs campus) was created with the goal of promoting the teaching and study of Spanish in the state of Connecticut. The resource center provides support to teachers, professionals, university students, and anyone interested in the knowledge and promotion of the Spanish language and culture.

The Spanish Resource Center was established through an agreement signed in 1998 by the University of Connecticut Nueva ventana, the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain in the United States Nueva ventana, and the Connecticut State Board of Education Nueva ventana. The collaboration has continued since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the University of Connecticut and the Ministry of Education in 2007.

The Spanish Resource Center at Storrs houses a collection of bibliographic and audiovisual materials for the teaching of Spanish. Additionally, the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain in the United States provides materials, resources, and a Spanish language assistant to help achieve the goals of the Spanish Resource Center (CER).
