Language Assistantships for Filipinos in Spain 2026-2027
The Language Assistant Program for Filipinos in Spain has been temporarily paused pending further guidance from the Ministry of Education. Those interested should keep an eye out for upcoming official announcements, which will be published exclusively on this website. In the meantime, no preliminary interviews will be held and no applications will be accepted until the call for applications is published.

The application period for school year 2025-2026 is closed.
The Ministry of Education does not charge any application fee for this program. If you receive any request for payment to submit your application, you are not applying for the official Ministry of Education program.

For the 2025-2026 school year intake, Filipinos can apply for all regions except Navarra, Cataluña, Ceuta and Melilla.

You can check the DATES AND FEES of the DELE EXAMEN
in 2025. Also, please be aware that the result of the exam takes about three months to be published.You can also obtain your A1 taking a SIELE certificate. You can find the information HERE

Information on renewals for school year 2025-2026
Filipinos can renew their position as a language assistant in Spain for a maximum of two academic years, regardless of the region or program.

- Profex 2 Handbook for Renewals Please, take into account:
- You can only apply for a renewal if you are already a language assistant in Spain through the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports.
- If you are a language assistant in Spain through a different program and you want to become a language assistant through the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports you need to apply as a new candidate.
- To apply for a renewal, it is necessary to attach:
- Informe del centro de destino (School Evaluation Report)
- Health Statement and Statutory Declaration
- Informe del centro de destino
TIE card considerations
- If the language assistant renews another year in the program, it is necessary to renew the TIE in order to legally reside in Spain. Once the letter of appointment is received, the application for TIE renewal can be submitted.
- The language assistants should go to the Oficina de Extranjería (Immigration Office) in the city where they reside for advice on the renewal of their TIE (application form and deadlines).
- Pending receipt of the new TIE, it is possible to leave Spain upon request of a return authorization at the Oficina de Extranjería (Immigration Office).

For the visa application, the Apostilled NBI Clearance and Medical Certificate need to be translated in Spanish.
