The Spanish Education Office in Australia, The Philippines, India, New Zealandand Singapore, Thailandis a section of the Embassies of Spain in Canberra, Manila, New Delhi, Wellington, Singaporeand Bangkokwhose main functions imply promoting, managing and coordinating education programs that aim at disseminating Spanish languages and cultures in Australia, The Philippines, India, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand. This is done in coordination with other offices of the Spanish diplomatic missions. The Education Office is part of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sportsand its main aim is developing its international cooperation programs in these six countries.

The Spanish Education Office in Australia and New Zealand has an Education Office in New Zealand, which supports the work of the professionals of the teaching of the Spanish language and culture in formal education. It collaborates with the educational institutions in New Zealand, especially with its Department of Educationand Tui Tuia | Learning Circle, the agency in charge of the teaching and learning of foreign languages.

• Scholarships for training courses in Spain for Spanish teachers from Australia, the Philippines, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam. The courses are held at the National University of Distance Education (UNED) and the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP).

• International Spanish Academies (ISA)

  • The ISAs are schools of recognized educational quality, primary or secondary, in the country in question, which through an agreement with the Ministry offer an English/Spanish bilingual program. More detailed explanation
