Course on Spanish language and culture, and teaching Spanish as a foreign language

Objetivos:

• Improving Spanish linguistic competence in grammar and lexicon from a functional and communicative approach.
• Developing the communicative competence in real contexts of Spanish usage, underscoring the abilities for reading, writing, listening and speaking.
• Discussing several aspects of Spanish culture to contribute to a better understanding of Spain and Spanish ways.
• Reflecting on problematic aspects of Spanish grammar and providing patterns of examples and exercises for Spanish lessons.
• Analysing the resources available to integrate the cultural component in Spanish lessons.
• Discussing different methodological approaches for teaching-learning Spanish and offering guidelines for the creation and implementation of activities.
