El número 8 de los Apuntes presenta las evaluaciones generales del sistema educativo que se están llevando a cabo en el Instituto de Evaluación: evaluaciones generales de diagnóstico, evaluación de la educación infantil 2008 y evaluación de la educación primaria 2007.

De estas evaluaciones se exponen sus antecedentes, su descripción y su desarrollo tomando como referencia temporal el final del año 2006.
